Terms of Service

Who we are

TailBoardAI is operated by Justin Morey, doing business as TailBoardAI, in the Commonwealth of Virginia ("TailBoardAI", "we", "us"). These terms cover the TailBoardAI web dashboard and the TailBoardAI phone app (together, the "Service"). By signing in or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you agree for that company too.

What the Service does

TailBoardAI is a field documentation tool for electric line crews. Companies use it to assign work orders, record job status taps and time, collect photos of paperwork, track storm timesheets and expenses, flag missing documents and export job records.

Safety comes first

TailBoardAI is a record-keeping tool. It is not a safety system and does not replace your job briefings, tailboards, JSAs, employer and utility safety rules, or any law or regulation that applies to your work.

• In an emergency, call 911. Do not rely on the app.
• The Nearest ER list comes from public U.S. hospital data and is measured in a straight line from the phone, not drive time. Hospitals can close, change services or be listed wrong. Always confirm the nearest emergency room through your own emergency plan.
• Phone locations can be missing or off by a large distance. Location is only recorded when the user allows it.

Accounts

• A company admin sets up the company and decides who gets access and what role each person has.
• Users sign in with a one-time code sent to their email. Keep access to that email secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• The company is responsible for the accuracy of what its users enter and for having the right to upload it.

Your data

Your company owns the data it puts into TailBoardAI. You give us permission to store, process and display that data only to run, secure and support the Service for you. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Admins can export job records from the dashboard at any time while the account is active.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service. That includes trying to access another company's data, interfering with or overloading the Service, reverse engineering it, uploading malware or unlawful content, or using it to break the law.

Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly per user, based on each user's role. Current prices are shown on the Billing page before you subscribe.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Subscriptions renew each month until canceled. You can cancel from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• Fees already paid are not refunded for partial months, except where the law requires it.
• We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect for an existing subscription.

Ending the Service

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if needed to protect the Service or other customers. When an account ends, admins should export the records they need first. You can ask us to delete your company's data as described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. The phone app works offline and uploads later; records are not saved to our servers until they upload.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TailBoardAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell admins by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
